Time: 1:00 - 2:00 pm Eastern
Presenter:  Fort Hill Associates

Martin Howell, Principal, Fort Hill Associates

Participants will learn the multiple phases of a complete construction audit and gain an appreciation of the potential costs savings which can be realized in each phase. Specific phases to be discussed include the pre-construction contract review, interim construction audit(s), and the construction closeout audit. Special focus will be given to the pre-construction phase as it ultimately defines owner expectations while establishing the contractual basis on which the follow-on phases are administered. The presentation will also include an overview of contractor labor and equipment charges, a review of contract insurance and bond costs, and contract change order costs.

After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Assess the different types of construction audits in order to determine the optimal one for your institution’s projects.

2. Develop an understanding of contract provisions which could potentially place your institution at a disadvantage if unchanged.

3. Evaluate selected Owner Risk Areas as sources of possible construction overcharges.
