Outstanding Professional Contributions Award
Purpose of Award - To recognize periodically an ACUA member who has made outstanding and noteworthy contributions to the profession of internal auditing in higher education. Professional contributions to be recognized include, but are not limited to:
- Creating wider recognition of the need for and value of internal auditing in the governance and administration of institution of higher education.
- Sustaining efforts to promote cooperative relationships and information exchange among internal auditors in higher education.
- Promoting the establishment and maintenance of high professional standards for internal auditors in higher education.
- Sustaining service to higher education professional associations in various roles: officer, board member, committee chairperson, committee member/participant, or presenter/instructor, etc.
All present or former employees working in internal audit, compliance or risk-related areas of regular member institutions are eligible except for current elected officers and Board members. Elected officers and Board members are eligible three years after the expiration of their term.
