Noncompliance with the Clery Act can result in decreased security for students and employees, hefty fines, loss of funding for financial aid, reputational damage, and decreased enrollment. This course will describe fundamental Clery Act compliance requirements defined in statute, regulation, and related guidance. We will spend time considering key risks and potential controls within Clery Act compliance programs, as well as techniques for providing assurance and advisory services to improve Clery Act compliance. Lessons learned from a recently completed Clery Act compliance assessment will also be shared. Participants will apply what they learn in this session by developing an approach for assessing Clery Act compliance. After attending this two-hour webinar, participants will be able to: 1.
