Submit proposals here by Monday, March 31, 2025.
Planning is underway for the 2025 ACUA AuditCon, to be held in-person September 14-18, 2025 at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY. Session proposals are being solicited at this time. Please carefully review the Call for Proposals Guidelines below before you submit.
You may submit multiple proposals separately. For full consideration, proposals should be submitted online by Monday, March 31, 2025.
Topic Proposals
The speaker submission process is collaborative and focused on delivering relevant content to the ACUA AuditCon audience. The Conference Planning Committee enthusiastically welcomes relevant topic proposals and suggests a few topics below:
- Current Audit Trends and Emerging Issues
- Specialized Knowledge and Topics
- Global Internal Audit Standards
- Compliance, Risk Management/ERM/GRC
- Information Technology/Information Security
- Fraud and Ethics
- Professional Development and Leadership
The online link will ask for information on your proposal, such as:
- Name of presenter including contact information, bio and headshot
- Title of presentation
- Learning objectives – Click here for tips
- Description of presentation
- Field of study
- Length of presentation
Session Length
Sessions are presented in 50- or 75-minute concurrent sessions. The Professional Education Committee and Conference Program Committee Director encourage an interactive component for proposals of 75 minutes. You may request the length of your session. We will do our best to meet all requests, but we reserve the right to make changes as needed to accommodate our conference schedule.
Speaker Selection
ACUA posted a call for volunteers to serve on the AuditCon Program Committee. This group of dedicated volunteers’ range in their tenure and expertise in the industry and together form a well-qualified and cohesive review group to represent both the public and private institutions of all sizes. They will carefully review all submissions to the Call for Proposals.
Speaker Qualifications
While you do not have to be a member of ACUA to submit a proposal or to present, we give more weight to ACUA members, and those actively employed in higher education internal audit. Vendors and partner organizations are invited to present, and we give preference to those who jointly present with an individual who works in higher education internal audit.
