Chris Walker, CIA, CPA, CGMA

The University of Arkansas

Chris is the Director of Internal Audit at the University of Arkansas System where he has worked since January of 2014. Previously, he spent ten years in Texas based public accounting working primarily in attestation services providing agreed-upon procedures, compilations, reviews, and audits of governmental, for-profit, and non-profit entities. He also worked two years as a Controller for an oil and gas company. 
 
Chris currently serves as Chair of the ACUA Finance and Investment Committee. He holds a bachelor’s degree of Business Administration from Midwestern State University Texas and is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, and Chartered Global Management Accountant. Other memberships and associations are IIA, ISACA, AICPA, ASBPA, and TSBPA. Chris has served as a Board member of the IIA North Arkansas Chapter for the last seven years.
